01 / Scope

We design it, build it, install it and prove it works.

This is the scope we cover on a typical capital or upgrade project. Take the whole package or the part you are short of. The standard of the work is the same either way.

01

Design and engineering

We design what we are going to install. Electrical design, control philosophy and instrument engineering produced by the people who will be on site building it.

  • Site surveys, condition reviews and load assessments
  • LV distribution design, protection and earthing
  • Control philosophy and functional design specifications
  • Schematics, panel general arrangements and cable schedules
  • Instrument schedules, hook-ups and loop drawings
02

Electrical installation

The core of what we do. Containment, cabling, termination and connection on live sites, inspected and tested to BS 7671 and planned around your shutdown window.

  • Containment, tray, ladder and trunking
  • LV power, control, data and fibre cabling
  • Glanding, termination and equipment connection
  • Switchboard, MCC and distribution board installation and replacement
  • Motor circuits, drives and standby supplies
  • Hazardous area installation in ATEX and DSEAR environments
03

Instrumentation installation and calibration

Field instruments mounted, wired, calibrated and recorded so the readings the plant runs on can be trusted from day one.

  • Flow, level, pressure, temperature and analytical instruments
  • Impulse lines, hook-ups and process connections
  • Loop wiring, marshalling and I/O termination
  • Calibration with traceable certificates
  • Weighing, dosing and metering systems
04

Control and automation

PLC, HMI and SCADA installed, configured and proven on site, on whichever platform your asset already runs.

  • PLC and HMI software written to the agreed functional design
  • SCADA, historian and telemetry integration
  • Legacy system migration and obsolescence replacement
  • Networks, remote access and alarm rationalisation
  • Machine safety circuits and interlocking
05

Switchboard and panel build

Control panels, MCCs and distribution boards built to BS EN 61439 in a controlled workshop, factory tested with you before they go anywhere near site.

  • Control panel and MCC design and manufacture
  • Distribution boards and drive enclosures
  • Pre-wired and pre-terminated assemblies for fast switchover
  • Witnessed factory acceptance testing
  • Full wiring schedules and compliance evidence
06

Testing, commissioning and handover

Loop checks, energisation and functional commissioning on live process, then a handover pack your maintenance team can still use in five years.

  • Inspection and test plans, FAT and SAT
  • Point-to-point and loop checking
  • Energisation, phasing and protection verification
  • Functional and performance commissioning
  • As-builts, software backups, O&M records and operator familiarisation

How it is delivered

Built in the workshop. Proven on site.

Panels and switchboards are built and factory tested before they leave us. Software is tested offline. Installation is sequenced around your shutdown so the switchover is rehearsed, not improvised. Then we commission it, hand over the records and stay until the defects are closed.

How we work
